Local Food, Seasonal and Locally Sourced Ingredients.

Local. Eating minimally processed food from nearby sources has become an economic and an environmental necessity. Farm to fork refers to farms that are producing food locally and delivering that food to local consumers. This term is related to organic farming initiatives sustainable agriculture and community supported agriculture.

Oprah is now promoting the humane treatment of animals, and Safeway and Wal-mart are rapidly increasing their sales of organic products.

The terms Carbon Footprint and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) are political buzzwords but what do they really mean to consumers and to the Earth?
